Self-Esteem
“I’m just not good enough.” ~ We live in an era where you are constantly being forced to compare yourself to others. Whether it’s your appearance, your career, your financial status, or your social and family lives — comparing yourself to those around you has gotten the best of you.
Data shows that approximately 85% of people around the world suffer from low self-esteem. Low self-esteem impacts your self-image, the confidence you present to others, motivation levels, and can lead to anxiety or depression. How we view ourselves impacts how we navigate the world, what type of relationships we invest in, and how we value our work and home lives.
In Therapy for Self-Esteem
we will work on reframing your thinking through a more self-compassionate lens. We will explore the root causes of low selfesteem, and will assist in forming a more positive mindset about yourself and the world around you by providing empathy and skills for self-love. Therapy will help you learn to minimize your inner critic, learn to see more positive qualities within yourself, to gain acceptance of your role in the world.
Signs of Low Self-Esteem Include:

(Exaggerated low self-esteem evolved around physical appearance is called Body Dysmorphic Disorder. ~ Please note, that while California Trauma Therapy works with low self-esteem, including low self-esteem around physical appearance, California Trauma Therapy does not treat extreme cases of BDD, or any Eating Disorders. Extreme BDD as well as Eating Disorders require a higher level of care or inpatient program.)
